On December 12th, the event “Measurement of Chemical Agents: Strategy to verify compliance with the exposure limit value” took place in Bilbao, which had a great success in participation and was organized by the “Instituto Nacional de Seguridad, Health and Wellbeing at Work”.
We had the opportunity to present at this event our experience in the Assessment of Exposure to Asbestos Fibers and its application in the selection of Respiratory Protection Equipment applying UNE 689.
Last June, we built and removed asbestos from one of the largest bubbles ever built in Europe. Furthermore, as it was a maintenance shutdown of an industrial facility, it was completed in a record time of three weeks, including all necessary work.
This enormous containment was maintained at 16 Pascals throughout this period with six changes per hour, requiring more than 150,000 m3 of extraction per hour.
On Wednesday, August 9th, the Setúbal Labor Authority notified us of the approval of our first Asbestos Removal Work Plan in Portugal (Reference 000667). At IGR, we have thus expanded our service coverage to our neighboring country, continuing our internationalization policy, which, together with France, has brought us so much success.
